Reduced male-female tank connections in Polypropylene, the most versatile solution for the passage of liquids in storage
Reduced male-female tank connections in Polypropylene, the most versatile solution for the passage of liquids in storage

BUCCHI S.r.l., a leading company in the field of components for hydraulic systems, presents the MALE AND FEMALE REDUCED TANK CONNECTIONS in polypropylene, the ideal solution for transporting and storing liquids in hydraulic systems that involve the use of tanks.

Here are the models that make up the range of reduced male and female tank couplings with body and collar in Polypropylene and EPDM gasket.
0400329 and 0800329 with thin gaskets for regular walls and 0400328 and 0800328 with thick gaskets for irregular walls.

REDUCED MALE AND FEMALE TANK FITTINGS in polypropylene are designed to ensure maximum safety and reliability in various applications, such as:
- water collection and lifting stations
- reservoirs
- water treatment and recovery plants
- containers for storing various liquids

Their uniqueness and convenience are that in a single REDUCED TANK FITTING there are two types of threads, an external male (cylindrical gas UNI ISO 228/1) and an internal female (cylindrical gas UNI ISO 228/1), which allow the fittings to be easily connected to each other or to other elements, without the need for sealants, in contact with the tank wall, thanks to the integrated EPDM gasket.

The polypropylene threaded fittings are available in 6 sizes, from 1/2" x 3/8" to 2 "x 1" 1/2, and in two colours, grey or black polypropylene, depending on the intended use.
The grey is suitable for industrial applications, where polypropylene replaces threaded PVC, offering greater resistance to temperature and stress.
Black is ideal for agriculture and gardening, where polypropylene replaces metal fittings, offering greater durability, avoiding corrosion and non-toxicity, important for storage or handling of food liquids.

Threaded polypropylene fittings also have excellent mechanical properties, such as:
- low temperature resistance (0°C)
- maximum operating temperature (80°C)
- working pressure (10 bar at 20°C)
- mechanical and impact resistance
- tensile, compressive and flexural strength

To install polypropylene threaded fittings, just follow a few simple rules, such as
- do not over-tighten the fittings, to avoid inappropriate stress and possible malfunction.
-Tighten Max material PP-PP: 1/4" 2Nm, 3/8" 3Nm, 1/2" 6Nm, 3/4" 8Nm, 1" 10Nm, 1"1/4 15Nm, 1"1/2 20Nm, 2" 25Nm.
- choose the most suitable type of gasket, (EPDM gasket) depending on the wall of the tank or container: thick for irregular or uneven walls, thin for regular walls or sheets.
